Nova Jones is a children's television series by the BBC about intergalactic pop star Nova and her crew. We were commissioned by Jam Media to create weekly content for the show's instagram and TikTok channels, including both static and video images.
I adored working with this project as the characters provided plenty of opportunities for fun playful designs that took up space on the audiences' social media feeds. I worked closely with the marketing team to create content calendars that targeted both the younger age viewers of the show and their parents - especially during peak campaign times such as school holidays and leading up to new Nova content. This helped us boost Reach 265% between Q2 and Q3 on Instagram and boost profile views by 60% on TikTok.
This project involved a lot of video editing (using Adobe Premier Pro and After Affects) as well as Photoshop and InDesign for the static feed images. We created a visual style in the posts based around a galaxy-themed colour palette and fun dynamic, white line-doodles.
