Review: Desert Mountain Tribe return with a new version of Enos In Space
Desert Mountain Tribe: Enos In Space (Top Of The World).
Mixed by producer and Killing Joke bassist Youth, its humble beginnings spiral into lofty 90s vibes reminiscent of Ash and Kula Shaker.
Balls’ tenor vocals have a clarity among a backdrop of reverb and psychedelia, and the chorus is genius in its simplicity.
Small flourishes of characterful guitar intersperse the second verse adding more depth and holding the listener’s attention, before a trademark guitar solo.
Enos In Space was originally included on their debut album Either That Or The Moon, released – and acclaimed – last year.
They continue to embrace their sound, playing to their strengths ferociously, on their latest take.
Desert Mountain Tribe are currently touring in the US.
